Costa Rica and Nicaragua, June 2016
Our June 2016 tour was to Costa Rica and Nicaragua! This was a very active 11 day tour which included a chocolate tour through a biological reserve, lake kayaking, ziplining, a tour of a coffee plantation, whitewater rafting, and a visit to five different volcanoes. In Nicaragua, students visited an open air market and a local school to have a better understanding of how families and students live there.
On this tour, we took students, parents, friends, and teachers of Sheridan AllPrep Academy.
Students reported that this trip changed their perspective on the world and their own lives.
Sheridan AllPrep Academy is dedicated to providing international education opportunities for all students, and to teaching students how to be global citizens. We currently have two international opportunities available to the students, staff, families, and friends of Sheridan AllPrep.
All educational tours include activities for students to earn high school or college credit. All high school credit is free; college credit requires a small tuition payment.
In March 2017 we traveled to Peru! We started our tour in the city of Lima and visited a palace, a cathedral, a monastery, and a museum, among other sites. Students saw art and craft demonstrations in the Sacred valley, then we moved on to Machu Picchu to visit the ancient site. Our tour continued through Ollantaytambo, Pisac, Cuzco where we visited a fortress and an Indian market. This was truly an amazing experience! As with all of our tours, this trip was open to students, parents, siblings, friends, and teachers of Sheridan AllPrep Academy. If you have additional questions about international education at Sheridan AllPrep Academy, please contact Jesse Eisenschmidt at 503-890-8938.
Greece, March 2015
In March of 2015, we took a group of students and adults on a tour to Greece! This educational tour was a great opportunity for high school students to earn high school credits and to have a great experience abroad.
Parents and other adults also joined the trip. This tour included visits to multiple historical sites including the Acropolis, the Parthenon, the temples of Athena and Apollo, and visits to the cities of Olympia, Delphi, Epidaurus, and Mycenae. The tour concluded with a three day cruise through the Greek islands of Crete, Santorini, Mykonos, and Patmos, with a stop in Kusadasi, Turkey.
This was an unforgettable experience for our students!
